On 17th and 18th August 2011, the students of grade VI went on a field trip to “A.P State Archaeological Museum” as part of their POI unit of enquiry “Past civilizations”. The museum was very interesting and informative. I totally loved the entrance of the museum. It was very creatively sculpted on a black stone. The beauty of the entrance made me more curious how interesting it would be from inside. We saw many pots, ornaments, arty-crafty, structures of ancient temples, models of evolution of man and coffins where mummies were placed after death.
There was also a guide in the museum who clarified our doubts if we had any. We saw the things we learnt about right in front of our eyes. We walked in the museum with prior knowledge but came out with hands-on knowledge. I truly loved the trip and look forward to many more such informative trips.
