Students’ Reflection: PAT is Back!

The PAT classes were resumed after a long break. We started the activities from out-of-the-box questions. The first question was a picture of a mountainside spring with hidden faces. There were many answers ranging from 5 to 15; finally, when Ma’am showed us the answer, we found that there were 13 faces. Then, we were given 30 seconds to answer 10 General Knowledge questions. This task was very informative as we learned about things we didn’t know before.

We then had a Spell Bee of 10 words. This was challenging as we had not heard of some of the words. Next, we learnt about a few special words. I found “abstentious” the most interesting word because it is the longest word to use all the vowels, that too in alphabetical order! Another interesting fact: The longest monosyllabic word in the English language is “squirreled.”

Finally, we were introduced to PenPal News and we created our accounts. On the whole, our PAT class was a very delightful experience for everyone and we can’t wait for the next class.
