The little grade 1 student’s start
their day’s at 8:30 in the morning and it’s amazing to see the same amount of
energy at 3:20pm. The class is packed
with energy coming from the thinker’s, communicator’s and readers. These
learners are trying and learning to read and the book chosen is “Are you my
mother? A sweet story of a baby bird looking for her mother bird. When asked
about their thoughts about the picture of the page the answers were different
yet beautiful. Thoughts shared were “the baby bird didn’t have a red cap to
wear”, “the mother bird is hugging the baby bird”, “the mother bird’s mouth is
open but the baby can’t talk yet” and many such amazing versions of their
understanding were expressed. A few reading moments were clicked, please take a
