Welcome to the Oakridge Blog - The Captain Blogs

Capt.Rohit Sen Bajaj
Principal OIS
I welcome the Oakridge Community to the much awaited Oakridge Blog. The Oakridge blog is finally here to provide greater information on our developments, to connect, to discuss directly, to get your thoughts and your feedback. This is our interactive tool that we will use to deliver real-time, unfiltered information. By using this tool, OIS hopes to maintain an open dialogue with the OIS family members. I look forward to bring you views on the topics of the day, straight from the inner sanctum of the Oakridge student community.

I hope this incredible new medium will deepen and quicken our communication  about the events at OIS and at the same time, serve as a forum .The blog will run parallel to  The Oakridge Times our monthly newsletter.  In addition, we’ll be putting up other periodic posts, sharing thoughts and reflections, and you are invited to join in by posting in your comments. Please feel free to connect.  With great excitement and even greater enthusiasm, I post in my first blog post on the Oakridge website.
It is the time of the year where everybody is engulfed in the festive spirit of ‘Diwali’ that is going to be celebrated with renewed fervour on November 5, 2010. Diwali is the epiphany of showing gratefulness to the almighty for blessings with wealth and wisdom. Yes, Money matters. Mankind has given wealth greater prominence above many other things in the world. Unfortunately, wealth is hard to catch. As people strived harder to amass wealth, there came a new concept about the real value of the words ‘Health is Wealth’- a simple sentence to reckon with but with nevertheless a deeper meaning and impact. Through the years, in all the societies around the world, health has become synonymous and equivalent to wealth. There is an analogy between the two different concepts. Health is as valuable as money. That is because without it, you surely would not enjoy anything in life. Keeping this in mind, OIS takes yet another initiative to celebrate HEALTH MONTH’ in the OIS campus from Nov 8 onwards. This will be categorized week wise into fitness, nutrition, psychological well being as well as health checkups. Looking forward for your support and participation.
“May the lights that we all so look forward to at Diwali , show us the way and lead us together on the path of   unfolding a greater Vision”-  with these sincere wishes , I end my first blog post .
Wishing  you all a very Happy Diwali!
