FIRST AID TRAINING WORKSHOP

FIRST AID is the immediate help given to somebody who has been injured, or who suddenly becomes ill, before medical help is available. First aid is of two types - one where minor injuries can be dealt with and the other to provide basic care to a seriously injured individual before medical help can be obtained.
Oakridgers  from grade 7th and 8th  had a training workshop on Basic first aid by Dr Nazia Khan. They were demonstrated how to handle minor and major injuries, Heimlich Maneuver  for choking, CPR ( Cardio pulmonary resuscitation) and other emergency situations were discussed. The workshop would help the students to act wisely and be a life saver when the situation arises.
