Someone once said teamwork doesn’t tolerate
the inconvenience of distance. Keeping in mind the same, our school believes in fueling oneness, interdependence & strength to be derived through unity.
Oakridge Newton campus as an organization, believes in creating a structure for
success which is very much evident through the All Hands Meet conducted at the
end of every month; this month’s being on 31st August 2013.
Organized and compiled by Ms. Vasundhara’s
& Ms. Rajani’s team it was amazing to see how much you can accomplish when
the ratio of We’s to I’s is far greater. The two teams worked for hours in
collaboration to create the production that followed.
Graced by the eminent leaders of our
campus, the event began with a twist which reinforced the idea - networking is a
valuable skill in the 21st Century workplace, and it is by interacting with
co-workers from other departments, who perhaps you do not see very often in a
professional context, that you can learn, raise your understanding and profile
with a view to internal benefits.
What followed was
inspiring and heartfelt, that resonated through the words of a beaming
principal, acknowledging and applauding his team who had converged on this day
to celebrate the treasure within themselves & each other; it was
infectious.Commencement of a musical parody left its audience imploring for
more. Reinforcing a feeling of oneness, pride & bolstering team spirit was
a PPT displaying a heart warming presentation starting with the sturdy building
blocks of the school - our teachers followed by the current events that spelled
s-u-c-c-e-s-s.
The basis of a good team building is for
its leaders to promote the feeling that every individual is unique and adds
value and so recognition, appreciation is an important step in fostering the
same - this being one of the key principles of our campus. So ensued the
felicitation ceremony that included several awards for excellence &
outstanding contribution to the school. Games got the crowd scampering for
answers and provided a hilarious side to the festivity. Dress coded in blue,
yet nowhere near to its figurative part - feeling blue, the event raged on. We
even had a surprise award for the table that looked best adorned in blue. Birthday celebrations for the month wrapped
it up with a balloon bursting, cheerful singing and gleeful laughs that echoed
around the hall.
This write up cannot end without
acknowledging the fact that ‘All Hands Meet’ provided a platform to build friendships and positive
professional relationships which is its quintessence;
bestowing our team with the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward
organizational objectives.
