An Unforgettable Green Conference!!

Faunus, a green conference was conducted at Oakridge International School on 31st August, 2013. It was an initiative of the green rangers; the main purpose of Faunus was to find solutions for various environmental issues that threaten our globe. Committees were divided into: biodiversity, bio medicine, technology, water management and climate change.
On this day, Faunus had a kick-start with an inspiring opening ceremony. Then we all proceeded for the tea break followed by the most awaited ceremony sessions. During the committee sessions we were given an opportunity to put our ideas together, speak up and find the much needed solutions. These solutions mainly consisted of ideas that can be implemented by the green rangers or even our school as a whole.
Though Faunus wasn't a competition some delegates were acknowledged for their outstanding participation at the closing ceremony. Shortly after the closing, we had a delegate dance!! The dance was the cherry on the cake and put us to ease after spending a whole day brainstorming.
Overall Faunus gave me an opportunity to learn. I was given the chance to compeer at the opening ceremony, share my ideas and opinions and get an essence of teamwork. Faunus was a great learning platform which makes me look forward to other similar conferences
