CAS Activity of Grade 7 Section E

On 5 November, we “7E” went to Vivekananda Vidhyalaya at 9:30 am. Our plan was to teach them Math and science and to give them knowledge about basic things and to give them ideas.  Our session was good this time. We taught them a lot but then we played as many games as possible. They were little naughty but we managed them.  Yes this session was useful for me and for them as we learnt more from mutual interaction. It made a lot of difference as last time we all taught them activities and arts but this time we taught them math and science. In the next visit, we can plan more interesting things like indoor games.

Today on 5/11/13 we went to Vivekananda Vidhyalaya as an initiative of CAS (creativity action service). Today my plan was to teach 3rd grade students mathematics and drawing. Next we went to the class and we introduced ourselves to the people and they introduced themselves to us. Then we started off with tables; since they had an idea of tables we thought of conducting a test.

At first we asked them to write all the tables for 1 to 10. The session was very good and we had fun. The difference that we made is we taught them more about math and also involved them in various art techniques. In last visit we had fun but this was much more productive (academic skills). My next visit will be more interesting for sure. The students have great visual and audible skills: they are very creative and are good listeners. One day these little heroes will transform and change the world to a better place.

We went to Vivekananda Vidhyalaya on 5th of November, regarding our CAS (creativity action service). We came up with a plan to educate them. We taught them math as it is used in day-to-day life. However the plan backfired on us, as we did not use the correct strategy. Nobody paid attention to us and we were not able to control them, thus we had to give up first try and entered another class. Here students gave us respect by wishing us.

The second section was attentive, and we progressed. We thought they were comparing numbers, and we put a small test on their knowledge of birds and animals. This session helped me to become a better, respectful person; they learnt different animals and birds. I wish we could go again; I would change my strategy. I will teach them science and social studies. I had a wonderful visit to Vivekananda Vidyalaya .
