Value Education for Grade 5

Today on 31st of October, it was again another great day for the kids of grade 5 to learn another new value. Around 1 pm, all the kids gathered in the MPH where Bhavani Ma’am was getting ready and excited to talk to the kids about the various values they have already learnt. Kids were eager to be there to learn another amazing value.

The kids were shown a video through which they understood that it is very important for all of us to have an empathetic attitude towards everyone around us. The video was funny and at the same time a lot could be learnt from it. Our students were wise enough to know that as a good person we must have a caring and compassionate nature. They also identified the word ‘empathy’ with the Profile ‘Caring’

After the video was over, Bhavani Ma’am had a sharp conversation with the kids where many kids shared their experience where someone else was rude or empathetic towards them and how they felt. Some of them were honest enough to stand up and say that they did not have an empathetic attitude before and they had also made fun of others and later how ashamed they were and now they had developed an empathetic and compassionate attitude.

Over all, it was great to see children coming up and opening up their good and bad experiences with the rest of the audience. It was really a valued conversation.
Then kids were asked to fill their value education books which they did diligently. Over all it was a great learning for the kids and a quick reminder for the teachers too.
