Student’s Reflection on Anti-bullying Rally

“Bullies want attention and they give us loads of tension!”

The third week of February is celebrated as the Anti-bullying week. On the 25th of February, we had an Anti-bullying rally to spread awareness against bullying. At first, I was extremely shy to go around the school saying out slogans but the message that we were going to convey made me realize how important my role was. I, along with my fellow prefects, enthusiastically went around the school spreading the Anti-bullying message.

We started from the upper ground floor and went all the way to the second floor and then finally to the soccer field through the parent waiting area. The students were so curious that they flooded outside to see what was going on. It was good to see that we had grabbed their attention. I really hope that we were able to convey the message loud and clear!

After we marched back to our base, the S.I. Unit Room, we sighed with relief and got ready to head back to our classes. We were really proud of ourselves — it was a job well done! I hope that everybody will strive towards making Oakridge a bully-free zone.
