Eyes on Paws

I was born without sight,

And my parents and I were all of a fright.

Till my darling dog came along

His name’s Coco, and he’s very strong!

I and Coco became great friends,

He safely took me places,

And I gave him treats and with him had races.

He was on a leash all the time when we walked-

But at home he was unleashed,

And I hugged him and to him, talked.

Coco helped me to do many things-

Meet new people,

Feel new sights.

He put my life to rights!

Coco’s still here,

Showing me the right way-

And to thank him I must say-

‘Give me a human, Give me a cat,

But I’ll take Coco for a friend any day!
