The Pre-primary of
Newton campus conducted its Curriculum day on 2 August 2014(Saturday). This day
was aligned to present the insight curriculum framework. Teachers helped
parents with strategies to develop reading in early years. This was followed by a quick peep into the ilearning for parents with hands on experience with iPads to give them an insight into the use of iPads in classrooms with an overview of apps.
Following the ilearning, there were
rooms specially set up for parents to show the journey of learning in numeracy
and literacy concepts.The parents were happy and understood the methodology of teaching and learning in Pre-primary about how various concepts are taught .They enjoyed the hands on activity which gave them a clear understanding of classroom scenario. Parents appreciated the curriculum day and felt that attending such workshops helped them keep abreast of the teaching methodology in school. It was a wonderful, positive encouragement for our entire teacher’s
Overall; it was a great learning experience for both the parents and the teachers. The team work got the day going smoothly and made it a huge success
