The
academic year 2014-15 has begun and the kids have already started asking
several questions about the PYP exhibition. Grade 5 teachers have decided to
expose the students to the various issues in the world right from this month
onwards. This will help build interest in them and eventually allow them to
come up with an issue they really want to work with; an issue that is closer to
their heart. Hence, this week kids have started bringing in the newspaper
articles of their choice and discussing them in the class room. They were also
encouraged to talk about various units of grade 4 and below, which really
touched them.
It was nice to see kids sharing their experience about different themes and units that they had worked in. I not only saw them gearing up for the exhibition but they also went down memory lane and shared some fun times with the class teacher and the class mates. And as predicted by teachers, kids have already started thinking about the world issues they would want to explore more on. The PYP Exhibition journey has already begun with the right note.
