Visit to Special Care School

Grade XA and B
We visited the Special Care School for the differently abled students. We got to interact with all the students and spend time with them, trying to understand them and make their day. When we arrived, we divided ourselves into groups and each group carried out a different activity. Each group interacted with 8-10 students. A lot of activities were conducted for the students which included sports, drawing and colouring, dancing and card tricks. Many treats were given which brought smiles to their faces. We had also spoken to all the teachers and the physiotherapist who helped in guiding the kids. We also understood that each student had to be communicated with differently. Not only did the differently abled kids have fun, but participating in activities with them had brought smiles to our faces too. It was lots of fun watching the kids dancing to songs and enjoying it. They were very enthusiastic and co-operative to participate in all the activities we had in mind for them. In the beginning it was hard to communicate with them but after a while we became friends with them. They were, surprisingly, very patient and this made our job much easier and fun. Overall this was an amazing experience for both, us and the students of the Special Care School. We hope to go there again sometime soon.
