Spoorthi begins with a bang

Spoorthi is one of the initiatives taken up by Oakridge International School.  It is an initiative taken up for teaching the children of our sub staff .This year Spoorthi commenced on 12 July with a bang. Around 38 children came dressed in their Sunday best and were beaming with joy at the prospect of spending 4 productive and fun filled hours at Oakridge. Since this is the first session for this year we took them on a school tour and then they were segregated into groups for further activities.It was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had in school. We will always cherish the moments spent with those children playing with them ,teaching them and knowing more about their lifestyle. I really appreciate this initiative taken up by Oakridge to listen to the voices unheard.
While teaching  them we, Oakridgers have learnt the value of education. We were 20 students teaching them English, ICT, Biology and other extra- curricular activities like dance and sports.
I hope Oakridge organises more of these events. We will be looking forward to participating in such activities in the future.
