The
ongoing electricity crisis has forced everyone to stop and think. Think of ways
to conserve electricity. When the crisis was discussed with the students of grade
VI A they volunteered to form a system to check the usage of electricity in
their classroom. They came up with small measures such as not switching on
lights during the day time, try to keep the ACs off when the weather is
pleasant, keeping the windows closed when the ACs are on, switching off the
monitors when not in use and many more. They resolved to call themselves
electricity rangers and have decided to spread this message across the entire
grade level and then to the entire school. They have already started taking
action which is evident from this picture.
Some
students started being more aware of happenings around the city and started
collecting articles regarding electricity crisis and sharing with their friends
so their resolve to save electricity becomes stronger.
