Sports Day Grade of III & IV

Sports Day means celebration of energy, enthusiasm, muscle power and sportsmanship. What a day it was!!! The white demarcation outlined with colorful flags and other decorations on the dark green soccer field under the clear morning sky appeared as serene as a painting. The icing on the top was our dear kids, dressed in all white crisp uniforms. They resembled no less than angels.
The day’s event started with a welcome note to the guests followed by displays of yoga and taekwondo. The parents were mesmerized with the student’s perfection and dedication at this tender age. There were track and field events, individual events, relay races and class events. All were equally exciting and nail biting. We all were at the edge of our seats witnessing the approach to the finish line. As fierce a competitor the students were, they didn't fail to lend a helping hand and show a gesture of compassion towards their fellow sportsman if they got hurt or fell down. We all were taken aback by their mature performance.
Even the parents didn't fail to surprise us as they took part in the parents’ events. They were as competitive as their kids. The expression of joy and pride on the parents’ faces couldn't escape our notice. They all sat patiently as they waited eagerly to catch a glimpse of their kid in the crowd. None of them failed to give a pat of approval and satisfaction on the backs of their kids. The kids were too obliged to have their parents cheering for them. They all performed better than their previous practice sessions because of this encouragement from their parents. Overall it was a very successful event with everyone leaving with a smile on their faces and kids definitely improving upon their self esteem.
