Student Reflection on Sports Day

“The sports day is a big event held in Oakridge International School every year. It is among the favorite events of the students, teachers and parents. This year we had obstacle, relay, 100 meters race and of course, class race to brighten up our team spirit. Each child was given a chance to participate in something or the other such as races, taekwondo showcase and Zumba dance. Sports day brings out the best in all of us and helps us compete with team spirit”- Manya (grade V)

“Today, it was very fun! We raced, we ran, we jumped, we danced, because it’s sports day! We had a good pledge - not to cheat and to be fair. It was a good message to everyone. We watched the leaders march with pride and bravery! The leaders lit the torch and sports day started. First, there was zumba dance from Brazil, then Taekwondo. Then the main part came - the races. There were so many cheers and so many winners. There was obstacle race, relay and 100 meters. Then there was the best part of all- Class races. We were supposed to pass a ball and run. It was so much fun. Class VA was the winners. After all, I love sports day. I can’t wait for sports day next year”- Nikita (grade V)
