CAS-Grade VI

A famous peace activist once said, "Wisdom is knowing what to do next; virtue is doing it.’’ The funds raised by the students of Grade VI through charity sale were utilized for the donation of blankets in M. V. Foundation (Home for rescued child laborers) through the students on 25th, February 2013.

Students feel………………

“The children greeted us with enthusiasm.I felt glad to see them rescued from the streets to school for education and for activities. They were given an equal opportunity like us to achieve great things. All of them seemed very talented. Some of them were bold and so good at leadership skills. I felt doubly blessed for my parents and my school. It has made me even more determined to save child laborers and give them a chance to get educated” – Jaishnav VI

“Child labor is a curse to our society and a crime against humanity. Children work when they are supposed to play or go to school. The sad thing is that they work under hazardous conditions. M.V Foundation in Hyderabad helps the little ones to dream big. We Oakridgers assisted by our teachers spent our time with those children and also contributed a little whatever we could to make them feel that we care for them”- Omar VI

“We get clothes as a gift from someone; we don't really appreciate it and take it for granted. But then I saw how happy the children were when we spent our time with them and gave them a blanket. We noticed even though they didn't come from lucky and wealthy families like ours, they were just as smart as we are”- Hrishik VI

“The children in M.V.Foundation were happy when we gave them the blanket and biscuits. They sang forus in their mother tongue .They told how did officers pick them from the work which they wereworking. We shook hands with each other. And I like to spend more time with them in future and contribute to bring the change in their lives” – Simran Agarwal VI

“I was very excited in meeting the kids. When we went there with our teachers all the 76 kids stood up and wished the teachers without their class teacher reminding them. All of the kids were very polite and friendly. After we distributed the blankets and biscuits all of the kids sang a song they all sang beautifully. The kids were very obedient without making noise they all stood in 4 straight lines and do you know something; their teacher only told them once to do so” - Sahithi Reddy VI
