Learn from
an expert is one of the best ways of learning a new topic. Students of Grade VI
learning about archaeology and excavations got this opportunity of learning
from an expert through a Skype session. Ms. Rachna Lodaya, who is a masters in
Archaeology from Deccan University, Pune conducted an interactive session with
the students using an ICT tool i.e. Skype. She spoke to the students about the
reasons for excavation. She also told them about how the archaeologists figure
out that a certain site is potential site for excavation. She answered the
questions of the students by giving them examples from her excavation
experiences. All in all it was an interesting session for the students who
learnt many new terms and concepts.
Learning
outcome: Students’ questions about excavation and archaeology were answered.
Students had some more wondering about archaeology and they were encouraged to
find out more about the same.
