Grade I Kids went for a field
trip to Fire Academy Gopanapally. Oakridge International School is a place
where knowledge is not confined to books. We provide our students with an
opportunity to learn through real life experiences.
In context to our unit of inquiry Emergencies kids went to explore and
inquire to Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Academy where they inquired on emergency
situations and ways to respond during emergencies.
Our kids
observation of the academy was diligent, their reflection profound, and exploring
exact. We do not commonly see these three means combined, but in Oakridge
creative geniuses are common.
They had a mock session of fire drill and some safety tips to be taken
during an emergency. This session was an enlightening message for our 1stgraders.
