Grade 2 — Student Led Conference

The SLC (Student Led Conference) was held on 15th March, 2014. It was a week full of excitement, jitters and more over a sense of bringing their parents to their field of learning. Students prepared themselves in advance and were all set to make this day a memorable one for them.

It all began with the parents being vigilant and coming on time, which made the entire plan of SLC really perfect. The students dressed in their professional attire, entered their respective classrooms; then, the collaboration between the students and the parents began.

Students elucidated the work, which was done in their classes and then moved on to the activity which was arranged in the same class. Next, the students guided their parents to another class where they had to complete another such activity; then, the cycle concluded after the students finished exploring their knowledge, touching up all the subject strands.

This SLC was indeed a joyous occasion for the students as they showcased their learning in a very distinctive manner, within the comfort zone of themselves and their parents. Students were all alert with respect to their talk and time management. Later, the parents gave their children valuable feedback to enrich their learning further.

The students presented a bookmark to their parents and acknowledged them for making this day a special one for them and supporting them in every aspect required. Thanks to all the parents, who diligently followed the “essential agreements,” which is really appreciated, for making sure that the child and the parent had a quality time together.

As the saying goes, “All’s Well that Ends Well.
