Poem on Food Adulteration

 

For Formative Assessment, students used the RAFT strategy to show what they learnt in PYPX till now about Food Adulteration. 

Following is a Poem on Food Adulteration:

 

In food, the process of lowering the nutritive value

And adding other substances to make it look brand new

Is called food adulteration

It’s not a new creation

Like iron fillings in tea

I think you all can see

Adulterators are cheaters

They even put salt in bleachers

Sand and grit in salt

They never come to a halt

They put a taste enhancer

But it could give you cancer

People do it for profit

To boost their earnings like a rocket

Taste enhancers, storage helpers,

They have side effects that make you go hyper

They give you diseases like diarrhea and glaucoma

Even if they have a good aroma

But there are ways to prevent it and detect it

Even if there is only a bit

Food adulteration kills

So stop paying those fast food bills!
