Guest Lecture for Grade VI: How to Manage Disasters

Grade VI students who are working on the PYP Exhibition Issue, Natural Disasters, had a Guest talk by Mr. Vinod Ekbote, Asst. Commissioner, DM Dept., Govt. of AP. Students learnt many facts about natural disasters prevailing in their own state of Andhra Pradesh.

AP has the second largest coastline in India and hence vulnerable to cyclone and flood. Every two years, it experiences a moderate to severe intensity cyclone or landfall. Students learnt about the importance of knowing the location and vulnerability of that area to work out a plan for disaster management. It was a very informative and interactive lecture.
