Student’s Reflection on the Anti-Bullying Week

The ‘Anti-bullying Week’ was a great initiative taken by the Oakridge community to prevent bullying in our school. Bullying is a very common thing in most schools; so, it was upright to make our school an ‘Anti-bullying Zone.’ The Anti-bullying Week started off with special assemblies by the SI Department. Each grade level had special activities planned for them to make them understand that bullying is unpopular.

As for Grade 6, we had a poster-making competition in groups. Our group made a poster to show how hurtful bullying could be. The teachers in charge for this program also came up with the idea of an ‘Anti-bullying Squad,’ where the students interested and selected could monitor bullying — it has been really effective.  The winners of all the competitions were also given prizes. The whole program went really well and was successfully put in action.
