The
much anticipated event was ' The Inter House Rangoli Competition' which was
conducted on 1 November 2013 to celebrate the occasion of Diwali .Students of
Grade VII to IX participated with a lot of enthusiasm as they put
together their artistic, imaginative and creative skills to make bright and
beautiful Rangoli's.
Our
students exhibited their flair in the art by making beautiful Rangoli designs
using geometric shapes, deity impressions and floral motifs. Rangoli colours, flower
petals and diyas were used to decorate the Rangolis. The judging criteria were
based on symmetry, colour combination, creativity and the neatness of the
Rangoli patterns.
The
competition was conducted under three categories CAT A: Grades 7 & 8, CAT
B: Grades 9 & 10, CAT C: Grade 11.The judges had a tough time to
decide
the
winners as all the four houses did well. C.V. Raman House stood First, the Second position was
bagged by Amartya Sen and there was a tie for the Third place between Mother
Teresa and Rabindranath Tagore.
