The
guest lecture by Mr. Prabin was very energetic. He asked us a lot of questions
to make the class lively. He also asked us to be inquisitive and he answered
our questions.
Today’s
talk was about the functions of government. We never knew about functions of a
coercive government where the government forces its citizens to do something
for the country’s well-being.
A
development form of government on the other hand is a form of government whose
intention is to develop the country in a way that the citizens are not forced
to do anything. Sometimes we do not know how the government is helping us.
The
government, however, is helping us in every way like it provides us with pure drinking
water; electricity so that we don’t need to use candles, which are a poor
source of light; and more. Another notable function of the government is to provide
free education as it is a must for children aged from ages 6 to 14 to get
proper education. Our government also provides us with food since everyone has
to eat food in order to survive.
This
was a very informative guest lecture by Mr. Prabin.
