CAS Visit to the Little sisters Home for the Aged and Poor

Excited whispers rang around the length of the bus. IGCSE Grade X G & H were going to “Little Sister’s Home for the Aged” for our CAS activity of the year. We got off the bus after an hour’s long journey. We were ushered into a room where we could drop off the food we’d brought. Sugar, flour, coffee, tea, biscuits and noodles just formed half of the list. We started off with a tour of the area where we were able to see the kitchen, an aquarium, a bird house, the entertainment room and even the gym. We were led through the residence wings and also the tailoring room. Some of us stopped to talk to the residents.

One of them, a lively old woman named Jessie, left us speechless. Her riddles were hilarious and left us hysterically laughing. We sang a couple of songs for her and her smile was priceless. All in all, the trip to Little Sister’s Home for the Aged was magnificent and we all hope to visit some place like it soon.
