Mango Mania at Newton campus

9^th July was a day full of fun and learning for Junior School students in Oakridge International School. It was Mango Mania Day!!!  
Students across the school from Pre-primary to Grade 5  came together and enthusiastically participated in the event .The day started with assembly where the students shared all information about the king of the fruit ,sang melodious song. During the day the students  inquired, browsed, shared, discussed the health benefits about the fruit. The most awaited moment was their snack break when they  decorated their classrooms, distributed the mango delicacies and had lot of fun. They brought different mango delicacies like mango cake, ice-creams, shakes, pickles, mango cupcakes, mango rice, mango jelly, mango custard etc.The Primary school students  enjoyed participating in slogan writing competition. Children put on their creative thinking caps and came up with beautiful and catchy slogans while the little ones sang rhymes, participated in quiz, made collage, crafts, tattoos & head gears. Having thoroughly enjoyed the day, children left the school clutching to the fruity delight, a handmade crafts as a reminder of the fun-n-learn mango party and getting back home with the tinge of mango in their minds and their pallets. It was a memorable day for all students, teachers, ayahs, security guards and house-keeping staff. All in all, Mango Mania really created a mania in the whole junior school.
