How do we want Students to act?

image

While the students are enjoying the 3 day break the teachers are undergoing training under different disciplines. The teachers who were in the “Action in PYP” are now realizing the other side of the action. Plan for action and not plan action. How true? Action cannot be measured or shown at times. However washing hands before eating is an action. As teachers we should not expect action to happen immediately after the unit; it can happen anytime. It is more intrinsic than extrinsic. At times action comes later in life with the opportunities provided by the teacher at an early age. Choose- Act-Reflect should be emphasized and learners will have an enduring understanding of their learning and will be applying the same into their lives.

These workshops revive and rejuvenate the teachers showing them a path to alter their ways and bring in innovate ideas to keep the learners engaged and spontaneous.
