In connection with our UOI topic Imagination, grade 3 had a guest lecture by Ms.Meenakshi Joshi (senior faculty arts, OIS) on “Role of Imagination in Art”. She took us into a beautiful world of Surrealism! its Paintings and Art. She spoke about Octavio Ocampo who was a Mexican surrealist with an extraordinary skill. His pictures incorporate superimposed images in the paintings he created.
She also showed works of many other artists and explained that Imagination is a very powerful tool for extending our ability to think, create and express.
Children enjoyed the guest lecture and learnt how the imaginative artists were serious about their work and the creative ways in which they expressed their thoughts and ideas
