'The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows' - the objective of holding an orientation session with the students of Grade XI was to make them understand not to confine reflecting on themselves but to be a window extending their vision and perspective beyond themselves and reach out to people lesser privileged than them.

The session started with Ms.Rubina who was handling the Spoorthi programme last year speaking about the initiative that was taken by Mr.Mallikarjun the senior VP in spearheading the Spoorthi programme catering to the children of the sub staff working in the school.

Sharing his thoughts on Spoorthi Mr.Biju Baby the IB Coordinator said his little association with Spoorthi gave him immense satisfaction. It was a pleasure he said to watch the excitement in the children to learn something new. He called upon the students to imbibe values that will help them grow as responsible citizens.

Samuel the CAS Coordinator for IB reiterated that students must take up the programme with the right motive and the desire to share. He urged the students to be 'the windows' in reaching out to people and sharing their learning and knowledge among the lesser privileged.

The Principal Capt.Bajaj appreciated and acknowledged the initiative taken by all the teachers associated with the programme.

I personally feel this initiative by the school is a good opportunity for students as it will not only expose them to different cultures but give them a better understanding of people, relationships and help them emerge as emotionally strong adults.

Ms.Mohseena Hussain

Activity Coordinator
