The in school PYP workshop on Assessment started on 25th Nov 2011 & Perico Pineda was our Workshop leader .Day 1 focused on perspective on assessment and assessing students work . The workshop began with framing essential agreements based on profiles. Followed by perspective on assessment, we framed definition of assessment. We learnt many grouping strategies like clock buddy, colour coding, grouping by puzzles and global knowledge .The insight gained by us was amazing. Thereafter the session went on to challenge us, where we had to make a table share of OIS assessment strategies. This was followed by a brain storming on role of questions in assessment. Eventually workshop leader introduced us to assessing the essential elements of PYP for the programme of inquiry. It was indeed an enriching experience and looking forward for the next session.
