The workshop "Active Teach"conducted by Pearson Longman for English and Science teachers on Saturday ,the 12th November at Fortune Select Manohar was indeed a gateway to innovative teaching and learning experience.
Ms.Pratima and I had an opportunity to be a part of this interactive session along with the other schools of Hyderabad.The chief guest Ms.Savita Naware,Educationist,ELT in her opening speech brought out comparison of the old and modern methods of teaching.She emphasized on the "Visual Literacy"(teaching aided with visuals which would be of great impact on the minds of the learner)and "Numerical Literacy"(i.e data interpretation which develops many skills like comprehending,analysis and critical thinking).
Later it was followed by the launching of the book "Active Teach" with its caption Always Learning.Active Teach is a unique digital learning solution that combines a pedagogically sound course with innovative teaching and learning resources for grade 3 to grade 8.The digital assets are developed and mapped to the course content so that there is no disparity between the book and the digital content.The book seemed to be of great help to the students with its vocabulary and grammar games.
