Times tables should you learn them by heart?


Do you remember learning your times tables? You probably recall learning them by rote as that was the way it used to be. We spent our time repeating and repeating until recalling them became a nature. So do you think your child likes learning by rote? I’m imagining probably not! Here at Oakridge teaching multiplication tables are done with interesting and fun filled activity. We help our children to learn the multiplication facts through some of these tricks.

  1.      Observing the patterns in the multiplication grid.
  2. ·         Tables through music.
  3. ·         9 times tables using fingers

These creative activities help learners in boosting their confidence. It becomes exciting and easy for the learners no matter which grade level they belong.
