The Demo session of Igniting minds program
was successfully conducted on 22nd Oct and students from both Junior
and Senior School actively participated in it. For the demo session, we
had Dr. G Madhavan Nair (Former Chairman, ISRO), Dr. Anil Kakodkar (Former
Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission of India) and Dr. Vijay P Bhatkar (Chairman,
Board of Governors, IIT Delhi) addressing the students live.
The speakers
explained their idea to connect the Indian student community with renowned
scientists, technocrats and social leaders and create a vibrant and dynamic
online portal to expose students to the world of knowledge.
The speakers
reiterated the need of molding a generation of students, who can dream big and
realise their dreams through rational and innovative means for the
betterment of humanity.
The session was
very informative and at short intervals, students were invited to give their
feedback on the session. Students found the sessions very interesting. I
would like to put here reflection of my student Abhiram Reddy, Grade 10 (IGCSE
). Abhiram said that the program was very informative and he was looking
forward to hearing from all those inspiring people who have changed the course
of Science & Technology in India and brought us to this level on the World
map.
During the
interactive session with Dr. Madhavan Nair, Ms Shvetha congratulated him for
his inspiring talk.
Overall, It
was an Inspiring session for all!
