A caster
board or vigor
board is a two-wheeled, human powered land vehicle that is
closely related to the skateboard and the snake board. Two narrow platforms
known as "decks" are joined by a "torsion bar", which
consists of a metal beam, usually coated by rubber, which houses a strong
spring. One is connected to each deck with a caster so that that each
wheel can steer independently, and each caster has a steering axis that is
tilted about 30° back from the vertical.
This
ripstik is getting very popular now a days many of the Oakridge children are
showing interest to learn Ripstik/wave board.
Siddharth
of grade 6D has started learning ripstik by himself at his residence six months
back. He said learning ripstik is a great experience and fun. Balancing on
ripstik is little difficult in the beginning but later on it is much
easier to balance. He also said that, he is looking forward to perform simple
and easy tricks on ripstik.
