Knocking on the Doors of PAT
Intelligence sees
no boundaries. You don’t need to be an aged man or woman with 5 different
diplomas or the author of an acclaimed research paper. Intelligence isn’t
measured by the number of qualifications you have , but by your intellect and
capability to think beyond. And some children of grade 4, 5 &6 have
definitely proved this, going beyond their age defined expectations. Challenging
and invoking their multiple thinking potential, feels the only right thing to
do akin to a fresh outlook at education that we Oakridgers have envisioned for
our future citizens.
As always reminded
to PATians, PAT is a privilege bestowed upon oneself by one’s own merits. Direction and drive can and will be incited, energized
but the choice of walking on it and to what milepost lays completely in one’s
own mind.
Here’s an insight
into one of the PAT sessions, drafted by Manya Reddy -6F:
Today was the first day of PAT, Program for
Academically Talented. This program is an opportunity given to the students of
grade 4, 5 & 6 to enrich their academic study. At PAT, we believe in
thinking out of the box, or said in simpler words, thinking logically and in
different ways. Today in PAT, we had a nice set of ten minutes to talk to our
excited friends and mingle, and after that, it began with the day’s challenge.
I think every PAT-ian is unique.
Here’s walking you through some reflections-
Siddharth, grade
6 says- PAT was the best program that ever started!
Annika, grade 4 says- PAT was fun and challenging!
Shreya, grade 4 says– I’m looking forward for more
PAT classes in the vacation too.
Anushka, grade 5 says – I just love the way we are
challenged to think. It’s definitely not easy.
Maurya, grade 5 says – The activities confused me
at times but it was a great learning experience.
Suraj, grade 5 says - I can’t wait for the
vacations to end. I’m already thinking about the kind of activities we’d be
exposed to.
