I was given an
opportunity to do an internship during the Autumn break at Yashoda Hospitals. It
was so exciting for me because my future plan also revolve around the same area;
my ambition is to become a doctor. At Apollo Hospital, I got the chance to
observe a doctor in my field of interest. He took around all the surgical rooms
and it was a great experience observing
the way that the doctors treat the patients. In the hospital I even got to talk
to the different patients that were being treated. The patients seemed to be
really happy at the way they are treated.
When I went into
the ICU room the doctor explained all the different types of machines that were
used every day. I also got a chance to see the way that the patients were
treated with care after the treatment was done. I am really glad that Oakridge
gave this opportunity to work at a hospital. It gave me a chance to observe the
profession that I am planning on taking up when I get older. I had a great time
working with the specialist doctor and I am looking forward to continuing this
internship in the December holidays.
