“Compete with me or you?”
The learning difficulty week that we
celebrate from the 23rd- 25th October gives us an
opportunity to create awareness of the various learning difficulties children
have and to deal with such difficulties.
We started our week with an assembly planned for the children which
entailed, thought for the day, prayer of the same theme. We also had children
of grade 4, 5 & 6 perform a short skit on “negative effects of
competition”. Along with this a
documentary movie was screened by Mr
Mani Shankar called “Anokhi Aasha”.
The assembly gave out a beautiful message
of supporting children with such kind of difficulties to only motivate them and
become better in anything they do. The heart touching movie moved the teachers
as well who strongly felt to incorporate this in their students. Our assembly
was planned to get our children to empathize towards children with special
needs at the same time with their peers and treat them as equals in the school
with extra support and care.
