At Oakridge
Newton campus October 22nd to
26th was celebrated as
Learning Difficulty Week. Related to this, Supportive Instruction Unit had
organized a gallery walk, displaying works to make us understand about common
difficulties faced by children.
We came to know about three common
difficulties such as Dyslexia (problem with spelling), Dyscalculia-(problem
with math calculation) and Dysgraphia (problem with writing).
These all are not
diseases they are learning difficulties. Children can overcome these kinds of
difficulties by regular practice and differentiated learning strategies.
It is time for one and all to wear the
caring profile and empathy attitude to take these learners into the main
stream.
