Stimulating Starter and Plenary Workshop

On Saturday, 5^th Oct 2013 it was scheduled that the CIE segment teachers will have a “workshop on Starters and Plenary”. The session started off with Ms. Baljeet showing us a PowerPoint on the different ways of writing “learning objectives”. Hand-outs which included numerous examples of learning objectives and action verbs for learning objectives were distributed to all the teachers.

 After the explanation session was over, Ms. Baljeet circulated charts and sketch pens and asked us to pick any four starters from the list given and prepare on a chart related to our subjects. All the teachers candidly started working on the assignment given. It was extremely an enjoyable experience drawing and colouring on the chart. We felt as though we were students working in teams. After finishing up with the charts, came the presentation time. 

To our surprise, we saw Mr. Biju, Ms. Usha and Mr. Sai Krishna walking into the classroom. Actually they were invited to witness our presentation. We felt nervous seeing them but anyways started presenting one after the other and they were glad seeing our presentation and passed positive comments.

Thanks to Ms. Baljeet for the interesting and informative workshop. We will surely modify our lesson plans with all the knowledge acquired.
