NURSERY PHASED INDUCTION

The induction process at Oakridge International School, Newton campus, is a simple method that encourages children to gradually gain confidence in their new environment. The most important part of the induction process is making children comfortable at all times at the same time allowing them to experience the fun and exciting surroundings that nursery can offer. Parents were invited to come to the nursery and spend a short time with their child getting accustomed to teachers and a new environment for a period of one hour for the entire week. The hour was packed with rhymes, introduction of children by parents along with some interesting anecdotes about them. This was followed by few interesting indoor and outdoor activities for children .The action packed week ended with orientation session for all our new parents.

Thus a week long induction was successfully completed keeping the objective of minimizing the anxiety in both the parent and the child and creating the familiar ambiance where the child is happy to spend a considerable part of the day at the nursery.
