It was Prize Day celebrations at Oakridge
Newton campus on 12 July – a time to acknowledge, to reward and recognize
students for their academic achievements. Speaking on the occasion, the
Principal Capt. Bajaj spoke to the students on the objective of being lifelong
learners. In a society where we have the ‘destination disease’ it is important
to focus on fitness of mind, he said. One needs to contemplate and learn from
his failures and successes. Capt. Bajaj also urged the students to be inspired,
motivated enough to make a difference. The program did give a lot of reason for
some to cheer but also I am sure motivated others too to excel and continue to
improve. To sum up…
“Doing your
best to excel is not the only goal in life;
What is
important is that you enjoy the journey of learning;
Develop yourself
from all the hard work and perseverance;
Achieve with
good spirits and integrity;
Share your
knowledge with others;
Extend your
strength in helping those in need;
Continue to
improve yourself;
And not
forgetting that you should also gear yourself to develop other skills and
characters.
