AP Science Congress – Children’s Meet (VIII – X) CBSE @ Hyderabad Central University

The University of Hyderabad organized the AP Science Congress from 14-16 November, 2013, which is the Annual Scientific Meeting of Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences (APAS). In this context, Children’s Science meet was conducted on 15^th November where selected children from our school from grades VIII – X participated.

Students took part in workshop conducted by the University student group volunteers on various experiments related to Physics and Chemistry. Some of the experiments which triggered lots of interest include understanding the Osmosis process, calculating the Body BMI and Archimedes Principle.

Students took part in poster making and Quiz activities which maintained their excitement throughout the event. Lectures on Robotics and Brain Neuroscience were given by one of the professors from HCU & IIIT along with few practical demonstrations on Robots made by the students of HCU and IIIT which stood as the highlight of the event.
