Student Reflections on Senior School Children’s Day Celebrations

Children bring a smile to even the most sorrowful souls and a tribute to every child’s wide-eyed innocence and inner beauty is made every year on Children’s Day. We were pleasantly surprised when our teachers put up a special program for us in the MPH on 13 November 2013 in the last two periods.

The show was enthralling. It began with a presentation on our First Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, the love and affection for children he had was conveyed and Children’s Day in India is celebrated on his birthday every year which falls on 14 November. This was followed by songs and dance performances by the teachers. We would like to tell our teachers that we love them and thank them for making this day special for us.

Although we had a cyclic test and some of us were exhausted, the last hour wiped off that mood and rejuvenated us all seeing the fun side of our teachers displaying their talent in the MPH with gigantic smiles on their faces. It’s just about half a year that we’ve been with them but that time was enough for all the teachers to grow love and affection for us—now that is brilliant and we will never forget this day!
