Parent as Partner in Child’s Learning

In connection to our POI topic Community Helpers, Mrs Maneka, parent of Samaira from PP1A, came as a guest lecturer on 15 November to the class dressed as a Traffic Police person, and also brought a model related to the traffic rules and regulations and explained children about safety, Zebra crossing, no parking zone and how important is Traffic Police in the community.

We really appreciate her efforts for giving an insight about the Traffic Police to the little ones.

Thank you Oakridge for giving this opportunity! I enjoyed every moment with the children and they were a superb bunch of young learners (include my own daughter who is very different at home!). But above everything, this opportunity helped me better understand how Oakridge has very subtly and beautifully instilled confidence and an ability to think rationally and inquire while challenging mundane things. It was a beautiful experience and truly impressed with young oakridgers... Thank you Rachna mam and Anisha mam for your dedication and continuous efforts in shaping these young kids...
As a parent being involved was also one of the best rewards when my own daughter appreciated what I did in her class!
