Singing Glass Activity — VIII Grade CBSE Science

Students of VIII grade performed an activity to identify the relation between frequency and pitch with a glass and water activity.

Glasses resonated upon producing vibrations with a finger touch to the rim of the glass. They derived a relation that: As the water level in the glass decreases, the vibration increases, frequency increases and high pitch sound is produced.
