Student Reflection on PYP Exhibition: Issue – Child Labour

A day started with a wonderful morning. My friends and I were excited to start our new class of PYP Exhibition. This day was a memorable class for us. When the class started I was delighted to see my friends. Everyone was incredibly excited to see my class teacher ‘Shailaja’ mam who is our mentor for the topic ‘Child labour’ in the PYP Exhibition. There were different topics to choose and we got the opportunity to choose our own topic we desired to.

The day started with an introduction of my mentor and some important essential elements were discussed together. We started our learning by knowing what each person knows about ‘Child labour’. There was an activity surprisingly made for us. It was called a tower activity wherein we built a skyscraper tower.

This activity was conducted to know if the children work together in team and do their best of holding the tower and co-operate with each other. The class ended, the learning was to respect each other and work in a team to show your best. I was happy to learn a lot from a small activity. Everyone awaited to see the next class of learning.

And the next class began with new learnings and fun tasks. The class started with an introduction; we students sorted the theme descriptions related to ‘Child labour’. Most of the students raised important points.

This task made us group together and reflect through one of the essential element ‘concepts’ to relate each concept with our chosen topic ‘Child labour’. This class came to an end and made us learn more about ‘Child labour’.  I am excitingly waiting for more fun learning and creativity in the coming classes we are going to attend.
