It was a day of immense fun, games and
bonding as the junior school of our Newton campus held its annual ‘Funtastic
Day’ on 5th October 2013 for one of its most deserving teams – its
teachers.
Theodore Roosevelt once said, “The most
important single ingredient in the formula of success is for knowing how to get
along with each other” But what good is such wisdom if not for an intelligent
leader who apart from imbibing this wisdom, has the powerful capacity to manage
human drive? Such is our beloved Headmistress who not only encouraged but saw
the event to its end which in all its hues truly deserves a mention.
The event saw participation from about
150 teachers who set aside 2 hours along with the brain behind the event, our Headmistress
Hemalatha Sanjay supported by 15 enthusiastic minds. She & her team left no
stone unturned to ensure the quality of time spent together and boy what a time
it was! You had to see it to believe it. Such could be said for the curious yet
smiling onlookers who seemed to be reflecting the radiating joy of our games
& time together.
From a variety of fun filled, challenging
team relay games to the laughter inducing water games, from grade level races
to random grouping of friends & colleagues, this day saw it all!! Not a
moment of silence, nor a time without gleeful chatter or laughter. But wait! It
ends not here but in the MPH where some great, feet tapping music awaited us.
‘Dance till you drop’ seemed to be the energy flowing around which after half
an hour or so had to be coaxed to conclusion.
This day we build for our team a feeling
of oneness, of dependence and of strength to be derived through unity with an
element of fun and creativity.
